These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the GoAtlas mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by GoAtlas (“GoAtlas,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using GoAtlas, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required by law in your jurisdiction) to use GoAtlas. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
2. Account Registration and Security
To use GoAtlas, you must create an account using a valid phone number.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and current information
- Maintain the security of your account
- Notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Use of the Service
GoAtlas provides a social, map-based platform that allows users to create and share Worlds, places, and media.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Infringe the rights of others
- Post or share content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, or misleading
- Attempt to access accounts or systems without authorization
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
4. User Content
a. Ownership
You retain ownership of the content you create and share (“User Content”).
b. License to GoAtlas
By posting User Content, you grant GoAtlas a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
This license ends when your content is deleted, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate operational purposes.
c. Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have all necessary rights to share it.
5. Social Features and Visibility
GoAtlas is a social platform. Depending on your settings, your content may be visible to other users.
You acknowledge that:
- Public content may be viewed by others
- Private Worlds are accessible only to approved members
- GoAtlas cannot guarantee how others use content you share
6. Content Moderation
GoAtlas reserves the right (but is not obligated) to review, moderate, remove, or restrict access to content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
Users may report content or accounts through in-app reporting tools.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- Impersonate others
- Harass, threaten, or exploit users
- Upload malware or malicious code
- Scrape or reverse engineer the Service
- Use GoAtlas for commercial purposes without permission
8. Account Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.
You may delete your account at any time through the app. Upon deletion, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with third-party services. GoAtlas is not responsible for third-party content, services, or practices.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
GoAtlas is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoAtlas disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoAtlas shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GoAtlas and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your User Content
- Your violation of these Terms
13. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may modify or discontinue the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
